As of two days ago I achieved the rank of Tekken God with Alisa on the PSP. About a day later, also achieved this rank with Jin. Some tactics used to get there were probably less than admirable, but now that I have this rank, I can finally concentrate on some of the characters outside the little box in the middle of the character select screen (Kazuya, Jin, Alisa, Lars).

In other news, I've recently started receiving unemployment benefits as a result of being let off early from my summer job. The money is coming from my work at K-Mart, where I did something really stupid. Regardless of how I'm getting this money, it feels good to be able to help a little financially around the house again.

This morning, I awoke to find our power had been shut off, and my insulin was starting to get warm. Thanks to my medical condition, we were able to turn the power back on, since insulin NEEDS to be refrigerated. This has to be the second or third time this has saved us from having no power, and is one of the only good things about diabetes that I can think of. Also, I'll probably be getting a job at Staples soon, so today turned out better than I had ever hoped for.

1. People who keep trying to tell me I can't have sugar or that eating a lot of sugar causes diabetes.
2. "Jeez, you used 15 strips?!" Allow me to apologize for wanting good control.
3. The fact that almost any fast food or eat-out restaurant almost always makes me go high and ruins otherwise good BG days.
4. Supplies cost WAY too much for the unwealthy, especially STRIPS.
5. Unpredictability. Why can't everything just work the way it's supposed to all the time?

The only reason joy is my present mood is that I'm getting about $500 tomorrow.

I downloaded the Windows 7 Release Candidate just the other day, and so far it's been working pretty well, considering how old my computer is. It almost seems like Microsoft could release this tomorrow and it would do just fine. Has anyone else tried downloading this? [link]

This is the best news I've heard. EVER. I hope this goes somewhere. If you missed my last journal, I now have type 1 diabetes.
